Dog Training Programs

An informal video of Allie with her dog Elmo.
In this video they are out in public for the first time after Elmo was trained by CCS.

Our Naked Dog Training Programs

We actually have one Naked Dog Training program, but with three options. Our Naked Dog Training program can be started with puppies as young as 8 weeks old all the way through seniors (10+). The program includes obedience, manners as well as addressing any behavioral problem. We place immediate emphasis wherever it’s needed most (obedience, manners, behavioral program) while still progressing in all aspects of training.

Choices

The program consists of three phases; Traditional Dog Training (with a twist), Nearly Naked Dog Training and then Naked Dog Training. You may bring your dog to classes, leave your dog with us for our 28-day “Bed and Breakfast” program or enjoy our “Best of Both Worlds” (10-day Bed and Breakfast followed by classes) program. You can achieve the same results with any of our three options, however there are benefits to each program.

Weekly Classes ($950.00 unlimited for one year)

Our weekly classes are all semi-private, unless private instruction is required (occasionally required to address some behavioral problems). Either-way, your dog’s training, and your instruction, are always one on one.

The average adult dog requires 12 weeks to move through the initial program (Phases 1 and 2) and have complete off-leash control. Most puppies require an additional four to six weeks. Phase 3 (complete off-leash control without the need for collars) usually requires maintaining off-leash control for six months before the final phase. The final Naked Dog Training phase typically only requires between one and three classes.

While our dog training is unique, so is the approach we recommend for “homework”. No need to have “dog training classes” in your yard to practice what was learned in class. For most people it’s discouraging, it requires time not easily found in our hectic lives and teaches your dog to compartmentalize their training. Your dog will be great in the yard where he or she was trained. In everyday life, very much the same dog – just new training equipment! Instead we recommend 3 minute training sessions, within everyday life, as often as possible. Whenever your dog is brought out to the bathroom, it’s a brief session on the way out, on the back or both. Another great time is during commercials. Indoors during the heat of summer and in the cold of winter!

Bed and Breakfast ($3,500.00 28 day program)

Your dog is a guest of ours for 28 days while going through our training program. Our Bed and Breakfast program provides the fastest results, with the least effort. And we guarantee the results! Our guarantee is functional results (impeccable manners, complete off-leash control along with resolving behavioral problems) for you, in your home and your everyday life. After all it’s not much of an accomplishment for professional trainers to have complete control. What is impressive is for you to have it. We take it a step further by teaching you how to maintain the highest level of performance on a long-term basis.

It’s important to understand although your dog will be fully trained it does require some effort. You will need to learn our training principles and how to communicate them to your dog. That is why we devote an entire day to your handling instruction. For local clients we often recommend breaking the instruction into two half days. A good analogy is it’s like purchasing a new car. It’s already built, you just need to learn how to drive.

The Best of Both Worlds ($1,850.00 10 day program plus classes)

Your dog is a guest of ours for 10 days. This enables us to move your dog through Phase 1 (Traditional Dog Training – With a Twist) and into Phase 2 (Nearly Naked Dog Training). Another words, we do all the “heavy lifting”. These 10 days typically replace 8 weeks worth of weekly classes and daily work at home. These first 8 weeks require the most work, and nuance. You will still need to attend weekly classes, and work with your dog at home between classes. It really is relatively easy once your dog has our 10 day foundation.
